TO OUR PARTICIPANTS
Dear Kash for Kids Participants:
Over the past nine years, we have had the privilege and opportunity to partner with you and others like you to raise funds for literally thousands of worthwhile organizations. Our Kash for Kids Program is proud to have been a part of generating millions of dollars throughout the years for non-profit children’s programs, schools, youth groups, etc.
During the past year, several factors have prompted us to re-evaluate our program and the associated costs to operate the program. These factors include: 1) the skyrocketing cost of shipping cartridges to our facility, 2) the alarming increase in the number of cartridges received that are of no value and are not included on our “buy back” lists, and 3) extreme volatility in the cartridge market that impacts our ability to sell cartridges collected from our program in order to cover program costs.
Each of the factors noted has had an adverse financial impact on our program. As we began planning for our company for the coming year, we had to determine if enough revenue could be generated from the sale of cartridges to offset the escalating costs of our fundraising program. Sadly, the answer was no.
It is with deep regret that we inform you that we are immediately terminating our program. We would ask that if you have any materials such as collection boxes or mailing bags in your possession, that you destroy them. Orders received by us prior to the time we suspended the program on January 9th will be paid for by the end of March. Orders received after that date will be returned.
We are sure by doing a simple Google search on cartridge fundraising programs you will find names of other companies that offer similar programs. We do not feel that we have enough knowledge of other companies to make a recommendation, but we know that you will be able to determine how best to use your cartridges to continue fundraising for your organizations after doing some internet research.
This decision has not been an easy one for us as our commitment has always been to provide the best program and best services to our participants. And we have enjoyed all of the positive feedback we have always received about how easy we have made it for you to raise much needed funds. Inevitably, market conditions and escalating program costs are simply factors which prevent us from continuing to operate the kind of quality and customer-service oriented program which we have been proud to offer for nearly a decade.
We thank all of you for your support for our program and for your participation. We are grateful to have “made a difference” in so many lives. And we are proud to have been part of a movement which also has had such a positive impact on the environment and on our planet.
We wish you continued success in all your future fundraising efforts. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. We will miss you all!
